Wedding Gift

One of our good friends got married this weekend in between rainstorms and power outages during what was probably some of the worst weather we've had in a while. And the wedding was outside! But, thankfully for them, the storm passed so that the ceremony and reception could take place with no further interruptions. I wanted to make them a personalized wedding gift, so I copied an idea from another friend (because I can't come up with original designs! I'm not creative, I'm just a good imitator!). Remember my faux painting project from the other day? Here's what it transformed into:

I really hope they like it! I think it's neutral enough to go with any decor. I used my Cricut and Sure Cuts A Lot software to cut out all the letters in vinyl and reused the pretty mat that came with the original picture that I had painted over. Of course, now that I really love it, I want to make one for myself! We'll see if that ever happens. I attempted it once and it's not nearly as pretty as this one.

  2. Thank you! And I'm really not that crafty! I have crafty friends and read crafty blogs and get ideas from them :)
